Victorian Values, Saturday 4 February 2017
A big thank you to the Castle Players for their excellent performance of “Victorian Values” to a full house at Scarth Hall. This lively and entertaining show, written by Laurence Sach, combined popular music hall songs and contemporary writings to give a unique impression of 19th century life. The intermission bar was also very popular – as was the Archer’s ice cream!
Scarth Hall is an increasingly busy community venue with fantastic facilities – but tonight’s event was only possible thanks to the team of volunteers who advertised and sold tickets, managed the door, ran the bar, sold refreshments, set out the seating in the auditorium, cleaned and tidied away afterwards….and more!
