Scarth Hall and all its facilities, and the events and activities taking place here, rely on a fantastic team of volunteers who make things happen and look after the day-to-day running of the Hall. Our wonderful volunteers, and the time and talent they give so generously, are right at the heart of Scarth Hall and its role in the community …… thank you!
We have regular Task Group meetings where volunteers, Trustees and staff get together to plan and organise events and activities, as well as helping with Hall administration and maintenance. One of the things we sort out at these meetings are opportunities for people to get involved with events and activities but if you can’t make the meetings, you can still get involved – as much or as little as you like! Just get in touch with the event organiser or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Volunteer opportunities – how to sign up
Regular/straightforward events (eg the monthly Tea Dance , Open Mic Night; Comedy Night 13 October; Smokin’ Spitfires 20 October): Please add your name to the Volunteer sign-up sheet on the rear noticeboard of the Hall. If you can’t get to the Hall but would like to put your name down, just talk to the event organisers – email us if you’re not sure who to contact.
One-off/more complex events (eg Hot Club du Nord 26 October, Cheese and Wine evening 9 November which have catering; various family events in December 2018): there will be a volunteer rota for these on the rear Hall noticeboard; we may also have an online version on this page.
Community Cafe – Monday morning sessions– if you’d to help with setting up, clearing away, baking, serving (or all of these!) please email Joanne at email@example.com.
